Christopher S. Fowler

Lawyer

Orland Park Probate & Elder Law Attorney Christopher S. Fowler grew up in Greenville, South Carolina. Growing up, Chris never had any real exposure to the legal profession, as his parents were in the medical field. It was not until he took an introduction to business law while at Creighton University that he grew intrigued with the possibility of pursuing a career in the practice of law.

Upon graduating from the Creighton University School of Law, Chris moved to the Chicagoland area and began his career. For nearly ten years, Chris practiced with a medium sized firm in downtown Chicago concentrating in the areas of commercial litigation, mortgage foreclosure, banking law, probate and real estate. Chris gained valuable experience both inside and out of the courtroom which lends itself well to his ability to focus on the client’s goals without overlooking the details.

A couple of years ago, Chris had grown tired of the long commute downtown, and wanted to spend more time with his kids as they were getting older. He grew tired of missing out on their sporting events and activities after school. He decided to make the transition to join Michael, transitioning from real estate law to become an elder law attorney. This provided Chris a more personal relationship with his clients, as much of his prior work had been for large out of state banks. Chris enjoys the challenge of opening doors for his clients, which might have otherwise been considered locked. Chris focuses on serving individuals who seek to pay for nursing home or assisted living facility care for their loved ones without depleting the assets their loved ones have accumulated over a lifetime. As an Orland Park elder law attorney, Chris develops strategies for families seeking to afford the cost of care deserved by their loved ones, so that they may live comfortably with the peace of mind that they are leaving the items they have worked so hard to acquire over of lifetime, to the ones that mean most to them.
