Jennifer S. Lupo

Senior Legal Advocate

Growing up in small town Iowa, Jennifer knows the importance of leaving a family legacy and upholding the family name. A multi-sport athlete at Solon High School and a stand-out scholar, she epitomizes the midwestern standard of hard work and dedication. After leading her softball team to 2 State Championships and 5 Top-3 finishes while starting Varsity as only an 8th grader, Jennifer attended the University of Iowa on a scholarship, where she played softball for the Hawkeyes and was inducted into the Iowa Girls High School Softball Hall of Fame.

After completing her undergraduate degree, she attended Creighton University School of Law in Omaha, Nebraska. Upon graduating from law school, Jennifer worked at Bank of the West as a Trust Officer and was responsible for their entire Iowa district. Through this position, she became skilled at trust administration, fiduciary law, and estate and wealth planning, and truly came to love the practice of trusts and estates. Jennifer then decided to open her own law practice in Omaha, Nebraska, in which she focused solely on trust and estate planning, probate administration, and family law. She loved being able to play such a large role in helping local families through their difficult and complex legal issues.

After practicing law for five years, Jennifer decided to commission onto active duty as a JAG Officer for the United States Air Force. Always wanting to serve and the first in her family to do so, Jennifer quickly found herself at the forefront of many Air Force initiatives during unprecedented times. During her active duty career, she had the opportunity to be stationed in Washington State, Turkey, and Texas, and even deployed to Kuwait where she proved to be a valuable asset as the Legal Advisor to an Accident Investigation Board involving a service member fatality. Her efforts during the board and the pandemic resulted in her receiving Air Mobility Command’s Judge Advocate of the Quarter Award for the Fourth Quarter of 2020.

Since separating from active duty in March of 2023, Jennifer now resides in Washington, DC, where she is an active member of the Capital Area Iowa Club and makes a point to show the East Coasters how cornhole is really played. She enjoys exploring the city with her furchild, Nora, and loves connecting with other veterans and her military community. Jennifer has been accepted into Georgetown Law’s National Security Law LLM program, which she will began taking classes part-time next fall.
